"I am a Russian-born artist and graphic designer, based in Auckland, New Zealand, since 1994. I was motivated by my parents to pursue my interest in arts from an early age, 'figures and faces' fast becoming a subject of fascination - my first profile sketches being copies of my mum’s (by the phone) doodling.

I went on to study drawing and painting at the Children's Art School in Moscow, then at the age of 16, once the whole family immigrated to Scotland, I took up art classes in Glasgow.

In 1998, by then having spent 4 years in New Zealand, I completed a three-year degree at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design in Auckland, from which I graduated with a Professional Diploma in Graphic Design, which led to a career in publishing industry.

Presently I balance graphic design work with art projects at my home studio in Grey Lynn."
